This Collection has been inspired by an old world-Eastern European family, who for almost 200 years had been painting beautiful miniature lacquered paper- mâché boxes inlaid with mother of pear. As in the old days, they are made from 1.5 mm hand-blown Mercury Glass, silver powdered from the inside and then sandblasted from the outside. Combining colors and multi-layer painting techniques create a solid iridescent effect.
