Majestic, proud and fearless, the bald eagle has stood as the ultimate emblem of courage within the USA for over 2 centuries. To honor this iconic legacy, I designed this Eagle’s head to stand tall, ever-watchful and imposing, while highlighting its natural beauty. To achieve this artistic vision, I carefully designed the head to turn to its left, showing the cascade of feathers down its head and around its chest. The base is made of rustic wood with contrasting grains that peek through the elaborately cut designs of the feathers, eye and beak in steel. I proudly source the wood and steel I use in my artwork from my small business neighbors in Minnesota. Together, we create a life that is the backbone of the American dream.
